<div class="fw-notice">'''Scheduled update · source checked 1 October 2026 at 09:48 UTC.''' This page records Blizzard's maintenance announcement. It does not confirm that the update is live.</div>

Blizzard scheduled a beta update with a '''level 30 cap''' after maintenance on '''October 1'''. The notice also promises changes and fixes, with the detailed notes to follow.<ref name="us">Kaivax, [https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/beta-update-maintenance-october-1/2367661 US maintenance notice], 1 October 2026 at 00:17 UTC; checked 09:48 UTC.</ref>

Neither notice gives an exact start or completion time. The US post was published on September 30 in Pacific time; its reference to the next morning means October 1, not October 2.

== What still needs confirmation ==
The notices do not identify a client build number, list individual fixes, or name newly available dungeons or battlegrounds. A level-cap announcement cannot establish all of those details.

At the '''09:49 UTC''' check, the linked development thread still contained the [[Beta update (September 24, 2026)|September 24 notes]].<ref>Kaivax, [https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/2360696 WoW Forever Beta Development Notes], original post last edited 24 September 2026 at 22:23 UTC; original public JSON rechecked 1 October at 09:49 UTC.</ref> Check the original thread for the promised update before treating [[Beta known issues|previously reported bugs]] as resolved. Preserve the client build and test conditions when recording a retest.
