Announced Forever content · 17 September 2026. Source checked; this is a preview, not a tested encounter guide.

Darkspear Islands is an announced 15-versus-15 battleground off Kalimdor, with control-point capture and defense.[1]

Datamined map labeled Darkspear Islands.
Datamined map preview reported by Wowhead, 16 September 2026; routes and coordinates are not tested.[2] See World maps for provenance and limits.

Objectives and participation

The preview does not establish the complete scoring rules, queue requirements, match length, or reward schedule. A comparison to an existing battleground does not prove identical mechanics. Record the objective interface and any scoring changes together with the build and match context.

Related faction records

See Darkspear Raiders and Theramore Expeditionary Force for separately attributed datamining references. Those records do not establish earnable reputation or its rewards.

PvP development context

The Q&A described no rated PvP, a seasonal Honor progression track aligned with raid tiers, and a distinct Darkspear Islands reputation. Exact rewards remain to be documented here.[3]
