An Ancient Grudge
An Ancient Grudge is a Hall of Thanes quest, ID 96395, targeting Faldrim Anvilmar.[1]
Pickup and objective
Quissy's written guide identifies a Ghostly Attendant inside the dungeon as the giver.[2] The database objective is to defeat Faldrim Anvilmar. Wowhead contributor fuda reports that both pickup and turn-in occur inside the instance.[1][3]
Check for the quest before engaging its target, and check for a turn-in before leaving. These are preparation suggestions, not proof of a mandatory encounter order or a guaranteed pickup for every character.
Listed reward choice
The Forever record offers Catacomb Cloak or Deepgrave Trousers.[1] It does not establish item statistics or a current-build experience payout here.
Original return identity checked 12 October
The original objective explicitly directs the player back to Ghostly Attendant in Hall of Thanes after defeating its target.[4] The linked creature is 265002; its separate creature page leaves location unknown.[5] The objective establishes a return recipient and instance, while the older pickup reports remain separately attributed.
Evidence and open questions
The quest objective and reward names are documented in a Forever-specific written record. Pickup and turn-in details retain their separate guide/player attribution. No encounter strategy, NPC coordinates or prerequisite chain has been verified by this wiki.
Evidence still needed
Precise Ghostly Attendant coordinates; Acceptance conditions; Same-build turn-in confirmation
