Project:Talent data
The current reference uses a licensed community export of Forever beta-client data. Its build and source labels distinguish it from the earlier BlizzCon demo transcription.
Current beta coverage
The Talents Forever export generated 30 September 2026, retrieved and reviewed here on 1 October, still supplies 466 class talents across nine classes and 27 trees, plus 21 named Legacy perks. Every named record has an article. Six additional Legacy slots are unnamed placeholders and have no invented names or effects. Unchanged talent and Legacy effects retain their 26 September article snapshots; the new acquisition annotations below are dated separately. Start at Talents or Legacy perks.
The source homepage identifies talents and racials as client build 1.60.1.70009; all nine spellbooks and 1,753 spell records explicitly identify the same build. One separate beta observation has no per-record build, so it remains unknown. The Legacy section still explicitly identifies 1.60.1.69876; its articles retain that label instead of inheriting the newer homepage build. These are source declarations, not independent game testing.
Rank evidence
The export contains all 1,318 class-talent ranks and 69 named Legacy ranks. The source marks these records as beta data. Articles label this Source reports beta-client data, which means the import matches the supplied record, not that a wiki editor has tested each rank in combat. No missing rank has been filled through interpolation.
A client tooltip describes data, not necessarily correct live behavior. Read Beta known issues before interpreting test results. A rank above the current playable level cap can exist in the client without being available for a beta test today.
October 1 learning-level annotations
Five talent-granted spells have revised learning-level labels in the export generated 30 September. The source author derives these labels from the talent rows and explicitly says that the underlying spell-file levels still differ. These are source corrections, not evidence that a new beta patch changed the spells or that an editor tested the unlocks.
| Talent-granted spell | Current source label | Spell-file level retained in the source note |
|---|---|---|
| Counterattack (first rank) | 25 | 30 |
| Vampiric Embrace | 25 | 30 |
| Mana Tide Totem (first rank) | 25 | 40 |
| Stormstrike | 25 | 40 |
| Soul Link | 30 | 40 |
The first four annotations describe row 4 opening at level 25; Soul Link's annotation describes row 5 opening at level 30. They concern allocation in a talent tree, not learning the spell from a trainer. The spell effects, tree positions, prerequisites, talent names, and rank counts are unchanged in this source update. The level 1–20 spellbook reference also remains unchanged, with 387 accepted ranks. Classic comparison fields and class-ability preview summaries are excluded from current beta mechanics.
The current licensed catalogue snapshot has SHA-256 90ede71424c8200fce51ea6b3e78d32cb3d2fb7f379e038a7adf61b916f7f58f. It was generated 30 September and retrieved 1 October. Its 3,187 records retain their source build labels: the current client build does not upgrade an older record's provenance.
September 27 source update (historical)
That export introduced Primal Bite and Blood Frenzy for the Druid talents previously named Mangle and Primal Fury. Improved Holy Strike and Crusade no longer appear in the Paladin trees. The earlier pages preserve their original snapshots in Category:Historical talents; current indexes and semantic talent lists use the 466 active records.
Updated records include Lightning Reflexes, Strider Kick, Hot Streak, Wake of Fire, Holy Power, Sacred Arbiter, Twist of Light, Vengeance, Bloodthrill, and Improved Slam. The Shaman index reflects the supplied Elemental Alacrity → Call of Thunder → Elemental Fury prerequisite chain. Demonic Sacrifice retains the source author's explicit annotation about the unusual Imp and Succubus damage schools. These articles reproduce the licensed source; they do not silently substitute another WoW edition's values.
Reagent Economy (Legacy) no longer includes the earlier camping-reagent sentence. Its source section still labels build 69876, so the changed text is treated as a source correction without assigning it a newer game build. Eureka! uses the revised 10% cost reductions; Touch of the Grave now specifies a damage component and says the drain does not break crowd control. These remain source-reported effects.
The level 1–20 reference still contains 387 accepted spell-rank entries across 256 class-specific names. Datamined data retains all 1,754 explicitly beta-tagged spell records, including higher ranks and alternative-acquisition flags. The import excludes 30 demo spell records, 12 Classic fallback records, Classic comparison fields, and mixed demo Priest racial assignments. Newly supplied coefficients and talent-acquisition flags remain attributed source data, not measurements or trainer instructions.

September 20 source corrections (historical)
That export corrected Resourcefulness to a 30%/60% trigger chance and then listed Lightning Reflexes at 3%/6%/9%/12%/15% Agility. The September 26 and September 30 exports instead list Lightning Reflexes at 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%. These are comparisons between source snapshots, not claims that a Blizzard hotfix changed values on their retrieval dates. Cultivation also gained an explicit 1-hour cooldown in the earlier racial source.
Spellbooks uses a separate, explicit beta-only selection of spell records and explains its exclusions.
September 23 source recheck (historical)
The licensed export retrieved 23 September is generated 20 September 2026 and still identifies build 1.60.1.69876. The complete talent and Legacy sections match the September 20 retrieval: no active talent names, ranks, positions, prerequisites, or Legacy perks changed. Unchanged articles retain their earlier snapshot dates.
Three talent articles now include source-listed weapon requirements that the earlier article snapshot omitted: Spearing Strike requires one of the listed two-handed weapon types, Holy Shield requires a shield, and Mutilate requires daggers. Their source dates identify the reviewed replacement records.
The updated spell reference adds 21 Rogue poison and Blinding Powder recipe ranks, including two level-20 entries in Rogue spellbook. Touch of the Grave also has a corrected source proc split: 10% for casters and 5% for melee. These are source corrections and coverage additions, not claims of new game hotfixes. The source’s note about Instant Poison IV’s conflicting charge count is retained beside the record.

Earlier records
The retained September 16 demo snapshot contained 470 class talents and 20 named Legacy perks. Its rank confirmations referred to footage, with incomplete and estimated descriptions. Those statuses must not be read as beta verification.
The September 19 beta snapshot replaced Restless Blades with Flawless Execution and Drain Hope with Wrack. Vitality and Balance of Nature were also absent from that beta catalog. These four old pages retain their historical evidence in Category:Historical talents; together with the four September 27 historical pages, they do not count toward the active total.
Naming and relationships
Shared talent names use class-qualified titles, with a selection page at the shared name. All 69 active prerequisite links resolve within their class and tree. Row and column positions are one-based. Legacy names use “(Legacy)” to distinguish them from ordinary spells; their articles include supplied allocation gates, prerequisites, and rank text.
Spellbooks, racial abilities, and class-ability summaries are separate fields in the source. Their presence in the same export does not automatically give them the same evidence status as talent records. Older demo summaries and Classic fallback descriptions are not silently promoted to current beta mechanics.
Attribution and reuse
Data adapted and reformatted from Talents Forever by Chris Baldwin, JSON exports generated 2026-09-26 and 2026-09-30, under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. The wiki reformats records into articles, indexes, rank tables, and semantic properties. Game names, icons, and tooltip text belong to Blizzard Entertainment; the dataset license does not license Blizzard artwork. Neither source authors nor Blizzard endorse this wiki.
The original September 19 export remains retained with SHA-256 fcb1346dfee8e1d7a51bb0b0e45b1e8b4133cd033d72ddbe92f3c0653072894c. Checksums identify source bytes, not gameplay accuracy. Source links lead to a living site that may change after a snapshot.
Corrections
Cite the exact client build, source, and affected rank when proposing a change. Preserve the distinction between a tooltip, a known issue, and an observed result. Project:Beta verification provides a compact evidence form; Project:Data policy defines review statuses.
Publication compares existing revisions with the retained baseline and uses revision guards, so a conflicting contributor edit stops replacement for review.
