Pyrite is Forever item 249391. The original tooltip labels it Scarce, item level 25, with a maximum stack of 20.[1]
Documented use
Glimmering Staff (recipe) consumes three Pyrite per craft, as explicitly displayed by its separately inspected spell.[2] This is one documented use, not a complete use catalog.
Acquisition evidence
The readable original tooltip does not name an exact acquisition source. Unverified player comments are not used to establish a vein, zone, drop rate or farming route. Pyrite is not substituted with similarly named minerals from other WoW editions.
