Gamepad controls

Controller support is a functional beta. It supports XInput-compatible controllers; typing in chat still needs a keyboard.

Enable and navigate

Use Escape → Options → Gameplay → Gamepad. Xbox button labels below follow the guide.

Action	Controls
Move / camera	Left / right stick
Friendly / hostile target	LB / RB
Action bars	Hold LT, RT, or both; release for default
HUD shortcuts	Hold LB+RB: B backpack, Up quests, Down chat, Y buffs

Scope

This is written setup guidance and an official illustration, not the wiki's controller test. Hardware models, third-party adapters and handheld performance need separate evidence. User interface and accessibility retains earlier dated notes; Forever known issues records a separate issue review.
