Undead appears in the Horde roster retained in the Forever beta export. This reference summarizes that race’s recorded general racials and class options.[1]
Recorded class options
Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Priest, Warlock, Paladin.[1]
See Race and class combinations for the distinction between an announced addition, a source-listed combination, and an unlisted combination.
Recorded racial abilities
The following summarizes the beta export; listed numbers are build-specific data, not independent gameplay measurements.[1]
| Ability | Recorded effect |
|---|---|
| Will of the Forsaken | Removes Charm, Fear, and Sleep, with a 2-minute cooldown. The beta text does not grant ongoing immunity. |
| Cannibalize | Using a Humanoid or Undead corpse within 5 yards restores 7% total Health and Mana every 2 seconds over 10 seconds. Movement, actions, or damage interrupt it; listed cooldown: 2 minutes. |
| Underwater Breathing | Underwater breath lasts 300% longer. |
| Touch of the Grave | Spells and attacks with a damage component have a chance to drain up to 5% of maximum Health: 10% for casters, 5% for melee, with a 1-second internal cooldown. The source says the drain does not break crowd control. These are extraction values; proc behavior still needs in-game testing. |
The source export retrieved 23 September corrects the caster/melee percentages that were reversed in the wiki’s earlier source snapshot. This is a source correction, not evidence that a game hotfix changed the proc rate on that date.[1] Blizzard’s 22 September racial overview independently confirms the health-drain racial and the other three ability names, but does not specify Touch of the Grave’s numerical proc rates.[2]
Recovery and escaping control
Cannibalize needs a suitable corpse and uninterrupted time. When comparing control-breaking abilities, distinguish the removal of an existing effect from immunity to new effects. This is editorial advice for evaluating the beta data, not a ranking of races.
First character checklist
- Choose a supported class from the linked roster, then read its talent guide.
- Recheck character-creation options and racial tooltips in the current beta build.
- Record the build and conditions when reporting a change. Starting quests, trainer coordinates, and numerical racial comparisons need their own evidence.
The Priest guide also covers class-specific racial spells. Their race assignments were first observed in the demo and still require current character-creation or spellbook verification. The four general abilities above are not a complete Priest racial spellbook.
