The Talents Forever export generated 30 September 2026, retrieved and reviewed here on 1 October, still supplies 466 class talents across nine classes and 27 trees, plus 21 named Legacy perks. Every named record has an article. Six additional Legacy slots are unnamed placeholders and have no invented names or effects. Unchanged talent and Legacy effects retain their 26 September article snapshots; the new acquisition annotations below are dated separately. Start at Talents or Legacy perks.
The Talents Forever export generated 7 October 2026, retrieved and reviewed on 8 October, supplies 466 active class talents across nine classes and 27 trees, plus 21 named Legacy perks. Every named record has an article. Six unnamed Legacy placeholders remain outside the named perk articles. Start at Talents or Legacy perks.

The source homepage identifies talents and racials as client build 1.60.1.70009; all nine spellbooks and 1,753 spell records explicitly identify the same build. One separate beta observation has no per-record build, so it remains unknown. The Legacy section still explicitly identifies 1.60.1.69876; its articles retain that label instead of inheriting the newer homepage build. These are source declarations, not independent game testing.
The source identifies Forever beta 1.60.1.70170 for talents, racials, spellbooks and Legacy data. Its Warrior tree includes separately described October 1–2 community readings of the server hotfix cache. Those overlays are not all present in the raw build files. The newer Blizzard client build, 70245, does not replace the licensed records' actual source build.

October 8 source refresh
Seven names enter the current source trees:
* Druid: Shifting Power and Improved Shifting Power. King of the Jungle becomes historical.
* Mage: Heating Up replaces the earlier name Hot Streak.
* Warlock: Soul Harvest replaces Soul Harvesting.
* Warrior: Lingering Rage, Furious Precision and Gore Drinker. Boundless Rage, Improved Cleave, Precision (Warrior) and Toughness (Warrior) are absent from the new source tree and retain historical pages.

There are 15 historical talent records in :Category:Historical talents. Existing class-qualified titles remain stable even when another class loses a talent with the same name. Current indexes use only active records.

Across retained talent names, 61 source records change a description, requirement, position, icon or prerequisite field; some differences are formatting corrections rather than game tuning. Examples include Combustion, Deflection (Hunter), Sniper Shot, Champion of the Light, Holy Shield, Redoubt and Spearing Strike. Article snapshots identify the reviewed source, not the date a game change took effect.

Warrior source conflicts
The Warrior articles explicitly label their mixed client/community hotfix provenance. In particular:
* Dual Wield Specialization (Warrior): the licensed overlay retains 10% additional Off-Hand Rage per rank. Blizzard's October 2 notice removes the previous 20%-per-rank bonus without identifying that replacement.
* Improved Slam: the licensed overlay supplies a 3.0-second cooldown reduction at both ranks, while its author flags a conflict with the earlier 1.5-second first-rank development-note value.

Neither discrepancy is silently resolved into a tested gameplay claim. Other community-reported positions and prerequisite changes remain attributed to the licensed hotfix source. The wiki has not independently collected that hotfix cache or tested those effects.

Rank evidence
Rank evidence
The export contains all 1,318 class-talent ranks and 69 named Legacy ranks. The source marks these records as beta data. Articles label this Source reports beta-client data, which means the import matches the supplied record, not that a wiki editor has tested each rank in combat. No missing rank has been filled through interpolation.
The active source contains 1,314 class-talent ranks and 69 named Legacy ranks. Non-Warrior talent ranks are labelled Source reports beta-client data. Warrior ranks use Source reports client / community hotfix data. These labels describe the source's evidence, not combat testing by a wiki editor. No missing ranks are interpolated.

A client tooltip describes data, not necessarily correct live behavior. Read Beta known issues before interpreting test results. A rank above the current playable level cap can exist in the client without being available for a beta test today.
Legacy perks retain their client-provided rank descriptions and allocation conditions. Dedicated Study (Legacy) also records its source-listed cast time and cooldown. Client allocation rules and tooltip values can lag live tuning. See Beta known issues before interpreting test results.

October 8 learning-level annotations
Five talent-granted spells have revised learning-level labels in the export generated 30 September. The source author derives these labels from the talent rows and explicitly says that the underlying spell-file levels still differ. These are source corrections, not evidence that a new beta patch changed the spells or that an editor tested the unlocks.
Five talent-granted spell labels remain source-author interpretations of tree access, separate from the underlying spell-file levels:

The first four annotations describe row 4 opening at level 25; Soul Link's annotation describes row 5 opening at level 30. They concern allocation in a talent tree, not learning the spell from a trainer. The spell effects, tree positions, prerequisites, talent names, and rank counts are unchanged in this source update. The level 1–20 spellbook reference also remains unchanged, with 387 accepted ranks. Classic comparison fields and class-ability preview summaries are excluded from current beta mechanics.
The new source notes additionally describe access five levels earlier with Talented (Legacy) at 5/5. These are source-author allocation interpretations, not independent unlock tests or trainer instructions. The five articles preserve the exact attributed explanations. This update does not assert that the underlying spell-file levels changed.

The current licensed catalogue snapshot has SHA-256 <code style="overflow-wrap:anywhere;word-break:break-word;white-space:normal">90ede71424c8200fce51ea6b3e78d32cb3d2fb7f379e038a7adf61b916f7f58f</code>. It was generated 30 September and retrieved 1 October. Its 3,187 records retain their source build labels: the current client build does not upgrade an older record's provenance.
Spell reference and exclusions
The searchable licensed catalogue contains 3,194 records: 1,765 beta-tagged spell entries, 1,314 talent ranks, 40 racial entries and 75 Legacy rank entries including six placeholders. Its 3,193 build-labelled records identify 70170; one source observation has no exact build. Eight Warrior spell ranks have an explicit community hotfix source; all 150 Warrior talent ranks carry the mixed-source class label.

September 27 source update (historical)
The curated level 1–20 reference has 386 ranks across 255 class-specific names. It adds Druid Enrage and Hunter Sonic Blast's first rank; Bear Form, Aquatic Form and Cure Poison are now excluded from that bounded list because the source marks them as class-quest acquisitions. Their absence from a trainer-oriented selection does not mean removal from the game; they remain in the full catalogue.
That export introduced Primal Bite and Blood Frenzy for the Druid talents previously named Mangle and Primal Fury. Improved Holy Strike and Crusade no longer appear in the Paladin trees. The earlier pages preserve their original snapshots in :Category:Historical talents; current indexes and semantic talent lists use the 466 active records.

Updated records include Lightning Reflexes, Strider Kick, Hot Streak, Wake of Fire, Holy Power, Sacred Arbiter, Twist of Light, Vengeance, Bloodthrill, and Improved Slam. The Shaman index reflects the supplied Elemental Alacrity → Call of Thunder → Elemental Fury prerequisite chain. Demonic Sacrifice retains the source author's explicit annotation about the unusual Imp and Succubus damage schools. These articles reproduce the licensed source; they do not silently substitute another WoW edition's values.
The import excludes 51 demo-labelled spell records, all Classic comparison fields, 42 class-ability preview summaries, the separate mixed-provenance Priest race summary, and 21 video or podcast annotation fields. Hunter trap, Druid form/Shred and Demonic Sacrifice video/podcast commentary is not used to add mechanics. Underlying client tooltip records remain separate. The raw licensed snapshot is retained intact for audit; exclusion affects what the wiki presents as current mechanics.

Reagent Economy (Legacy) no longer includes the earlier camping-reagent sentence. Its source section still labels build 69876, so the changed text is treated as a source correction without assigning it a newer game build. Eureka! uses the revised 10% cost reductions; Touch of the Grave now specifies a damage component and says the drain does not break crowd control. These remain source-reported effects.
New Legacy challenge descriptions remain outside this import pending a separate review of their underlying achievement records. A licensed source's statement about a video does not substitute for that review.

The level 1–20 reference still contains 387 accepted spell-rank entries across 256 class-specific names. Datamined data retains all 1,754 explicitly beta-tagged spell records, including higher ranks and alternative-acquisition flags. The import excludes 30 demo spell records, 12 Classic fallback records, Classic comparison fields, and mixed demo Priest racial assignments. Newly supplied coefficients and talent-acquisition flags remain attributed source data, not measurements or trainer instructions.
October 1 learning-level annotations
The September 30 export, reviewed October 1, first changed the five learning-level labels above. At that check, the 466 talent identities, 1,318 ranks and tree relationships matched the previous snapshot. That statement applies to the October 1 review; the October 8 refresh supersedes it. The older article snapshots and raw exports remain retained.

The September 27 snapshot SHA-256 is <code style="overflow-wrap:anywhere;word-break:break-word;white-space:normal">4e769bb072e426824d1ce950f55fb48e8aeb840f4594cee23e06fe90b4458e42</code>. Its generated date is 26 September; 27 September is the retrieval and review date.
Earlier records
The September 16 demo snapshot contained 470 talents and incomplete or estimated ranks. Its evidence labels must not be read as beta-client verification.
September 20 source corrections (historical)
That export corrected Resourcefulness to a 30%/60% trigger chance and then listed Lightning Reflexes at 3%/6%/9%/12%/15% Agility. The September 26 and September 30 exports instead list Lightning Reflexes at 2%/4%/6%/8%/10%. These are comparisons between source snapshots, not claims that a Blizzard hotfix changed values on their retrieval dates. Cultivation also gained an explicit 1-hour cooldown in the earlier racial source.

Spellbooks uses a separate, explicit beta-only selection of spell records and explains its exclusions.

September 23 source recheck (historical)
The licensed export retrieved 23 September is generated 20 September 2026 and still identifies build 1.60.1.69876. The complete talent and Legacy sections match the September 20 retrieval: no active talent names, ranks, positions, prerequisites, or Legacy perks changed. Unchanged articles retain their earlier snapshot dates.

Three talent articles now include source-listed weapon requirements that the earlier article snapshot omitted: Spearing Strike requires one of the listed two-handed weapon types, Holy Shield requires a shield, and Mutilate requires daggers. Their source dates identify the reviewed replacement records.

The updated spell reference adds 21 Rogue poison and Blinding Powder recipe ranks, including two level-20 entries in Rogue spellbook. Touch of the Grave also has a corrected source proc split: 10% for casters and 5% for melee. These are source corrections and coverage additions, not claims of new game hotfixes. The source’s note about Instant Poison IV’s conflicting charge count is retained beside the record.

The September 19 beta snapshot replaced Restless Blades with Flawless Execution and Drain Hope with Wrack; Vitality and Balance of Nature also disappeared from that tree snapshot. On September 27, Primal Bite and Blood Frenzy replaced the Druid names Mangle and Primal Fury, while Improved Holy Strike and Crusade became historical Paladin records. These earlier eight pages remain preserved alongside the seven newly historical names.
The retained September 16 demo snapshot contained 470 class talents and 20 named Legacy perks. Its rank confirmations referred to footage, with incomplete and estimated descriptions. Those statuses must not be read as beta verification.

The September 19 beta snapshot replaced Restless Blades with Flawless Execution and Drain Hope with Wrack. Vitality and Balance of Nature were also absent from that beta catalog. These four old pages retain their historical evidence in :Category:Historical talents; together with the four September 27 historical pages, they do not count toward the active total.
Earlier source corrections included Resourcefulness, Lightning Reflexes, weapon requirements, Rogue poisons and racial descriptions. Those changes were source-review findings, not automatic proof that a Blizzard patch changed the game on the wiki's retrieval date.

TALENT SOURCES & COVERAGE

Current articles distinguish client-file descriptions, community hotfix reports and historical records. Source confirmation is not an independent gameplay test.

Current beta coverage

The Talents Forever export generated 7 October 2026, retrieved and reviewed on 8 October, supplies 466 active class talents across nine classes and 27 trees, plus 21 named Legacy perks. Every named record has an article. Six unnamed Legacy placeholders remain outside the named perk articles. Start at Talents or Legacy perks.

There are 15 historical talent records in Category:Historical talents.

 • Dual Wield Specialization (Warrior): the licensed overlay retains 10% additional Off-Hand Rage per rank. Blizzard's October 2 notice removes the previous 20%-per-rank bonus without identifying that replacement.[1]
 • Improved Slam: the licensed overlay supplies a 3.0-second cooldown reduction at both ranks, while its author flags a conflict with the earlier 1.5-second first-rank development-note value.

Neither discrepancy is silently resolved into a tested gameplay claim. Other community-reported positions and prerequisite changes remain attributed to the licensed hotfix source. The wiki has not independently collected that hotfix cache or tested those effects.

Rank evidence

The active source contains 1,314 class-talent ranks and 69 named Legacy ranks. Non-Warrior talent ranks are labelled Source reports beta-client data. Warrior ranks use Source reports client / community hotfix data. These labels describe the source's evidence, not combat testing by a wiki editor. No missing ranks are interpolated.

Five talent-granted spell labels remain source-author interpretations of tree access, separate from the underlying spell-file levels:

Talent-granted spell Source learning label Spell-file level described by the source
Counterattack (first rank) 25 30
Vampiric Embrace 25 30
Mana Tide Totem (first rank) 25 40
Stormstrike 25 40
Soul Link 30 40

The new source notes additionally describe access five levels earlier with Talented (Legacy) at 5/5. These are source-author allocation interpretations, not independent unlock tests or trainer instructions. The five articles preserve the exact attributed explanations. This update does not assert that the underlying spell-file levels changed.

Spell reference and exclusions

The searchable licensed catalogue contains 3,194 records: 1,765 beta-tagged spell entries, 1,314 talent ranks, 40 racial entries and 75 Legacy rank entries including six placeholders. Its 3,193 build-labelled records identify 70170; one source observation has no exact build. Eight Warrior spell ranks have an explicit community hotfix source; all 150 Warrior talent ranks carry the mixed-source class label.

New Legacy challenge descriptions remain outside this import pending a separate review of their underlying achievement records. A licensed source's statement about a video does not substitute for that review.

Earlier records

The September 16 demo snapshot contained 470 talents and incomplete or estimated ranks. Its evidence labels must not be read as beta-client verification.

Earlier source corrections included Resourcefulness, Lightning Reflexes, weapon requirements, Rogue poisons and racial descriptions. Those changes were source-review findings, not automatic proof that a Blizzard patch changed the game on the wiki's retrieval date.

Naming and relationships

Shared talent names retain class-qualified titles and selection pages. All 70 current prerequisite links resolve inside the correct class and tree. Row and column positions are one-based. Legacy names use “(Legacy)” and include the source's gates, prerequisites and rank text.

Attribution and reuse

Data adapted and reformatted from Talents Forever by Chris Baldwin, JSON export generated 7 October 2026, under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. The wiki reorganizes records into articles, indexes, rank tables and semantic properties, labels evidence and omits unreviewed/video-derived commentary. Game names, icons and tooltip text belong to Blizzard Entertainment; the dataset licence does not license Blizzard artwork.

The October 8 snapshot contains 1,718,002 bytes with SHA-256 5e66432cb096c676c6da42e5532c706925ab958703ee14a30d248972aec1bf8d. The hash identifies source bytes, not gameplay accuracy. Links lead to a living site that may change after capture.

Corrections

Cite the exact client build, source and affected rank. Distinguish a tooltip, a reported hotfix, a known issue and an observed result. Project:Beta verification provides an evidence form; Project:Data policy defines review statuses. Publication checks the current revision against the retained baseline so a conflicting contributor edit stops replacement for review.
