Beta data comparison (70124 to 70245)
Beta data comparison (70124 to 70245) compares the saved English client-table exports for two explicitly identified WoW Forever beta builds. The newer collection was retrieved and checked on 8 October 2026; the older collection was saved on 30 September. This compares exported records, not independent gameplay tests.
Build and archive identity
Blizzard's public wow_classic_beta manifest identified 1.60.1.70245 in the US, EU, KR and TW regions at the October 8 check. Its exact build configuration identifies WOW-70245patch1.60.1_ForeverBeta.[1]
The new archive contains 610 of 612 advertised tables and 1,927,080 exported rows. DeclinedWord and DeclinedWordCases returned HTTP 400 and remain unavailable, not empty. Both archives were checked against their saved table hashes before comparison. Coverage and per-table receipts.
What changed in the exports
| Classification | Tables | ||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Byte-identical downloads | 436 | Added/removed rows or changed values in shared columns | 170 | Schema-only differences | 3 | Changed export with unresolved row identity | 1 | Unavailable in both builds | 2 |
Across tables with a verified unique row key, the comparison finds 3,731 added rows, 5,336 removed rows and 3,060 changed shared rows. These are overlapping technical table records, not a count of new or removed game objects. The one unresolved table is excluded from those totals. Full comparison and methods.
Selected table results:
| Table | Earlier rows | Later rows | Added | Removed | Changed shared rows |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Item | 31,818 | 31,821 | 3 | 0 | 36 |
| ItemSparse | 19,224 | 19,224 | 3 | 3 | 122 |
| SpellName | 31,716 | 31,738 | 37 | 15 | 25 |
| Spell | 31,716 | 31,738 | 37 | 15 | 733 |
| SpellEffect | 42,365 | 42,409 | 64 | 20 | 72 |
| QuestV2 | 6,605 | 6,609 | 4 | 0 | 0 |
| SkillLineAbility | 7,826 | 7,833 | 7 | 0 | 30 |
| Achievement | 433 | 434 | 1 | 0 | 20 |
| Creature | 179 | 179 | 0 | 0 | 3 |
| Map | 72 | 71 | 0 | 1 | 1 |
A quest identifier does not provide objectives or rewards. Item allocation fields are not automatically final tooltip values. SkillLineAbility includes non-profession abilities, so its additions are not seven new recipes. A removed map row does not by itself prove that a dungeon was closed.
Export-definition limits
The schema-only changes affect ChrRacesCreateScreenIcon, CreatureImmunities and PlayerExpectedStat. The UiModelSceneActor export gains named fields, including ID, where the older export used unnamed fields. Because both schemas do not supply the same usable row key, this comparison refuses to guess which rows correspond. Such definition changes need to be separated from gameplay changes.
The table named Talent is byte-identical across these captures. That single result does not establish that all talent data or live talents are unchanged; other tables and server hotfixes also matter. The separately reviewed licensed talent source identifies build 70170 and community Warrior hotfix overlays, with explicit source conflicts.
What this adds to the wiki
This article adds a dated research comparison. The 55,191 existing database records retain their original source captures; they are not silently relabelled as build 70245. Curated articles require their own Forever evidence before incorporating field-level changes. No missing server-only data, encrypted rows, loot tables or acquisition routes are reconstructed.
Datamined data provides the current source catalogue. Beta changes covers written development announcements. See Project:Database coverage and Project:Beta verification for the distinction between raw records and verified gameplay.
