Beta launch and testing

Blizzard announced the beta live on 17 September 2026. Start with Beta guide for playable scope and installation, Game access for eligibility, and Beta known issues before testing a class.

The September 18 issue review links Blizzard's dated list and the affected class guides. Planned fixes remain pending evidence of delivery. The wiki does not infer a resolved bug from the presence of a newer build number.

Beta talent data

The talent reference now contains 468 active class talents and 21 named Legacy perks from the licensed beta-client export, build 1.60.1.69876. Project:Talent data records the exact snapshot, build, rank evidence, and coverage. Earlier demo descriptions remain historical evidence where a record has been removed or replaced.

September 20 source review

The 19 September Talents Forever export corrects the recorded Resourcefulness trigger chances to 30%/60%, Lightning Reflexes Agility ranks to 3%/6%/9%/12%/15%, and Cultivation to include a 1-hour cooldown. These are source-snapshot corrections; no new game hotfix is inferred.

The new spell references cover 385 beta-tagged rank records with source-listed learning levels 1–20. They exclude Classic fallback text, demo General-tab records, talents, and records marked for alternative acquisition. Tooltips retain the source’s level-60 reference context.

Announcement corrections

15 September 2026: Krol'dok Stronghold's announced range was corrected to 40–45. This corrects the published preview information; it is not a tested gameplay hotfix.

Datamining reports

16 September 2026: Wowhead published Forever map previews and provisional reputation names. See World maps and Factions for inspected assets, attribution, and unanswered questions. Datamined previews explains the limits of the gear and creature reports, including mixed-edition set data. These are reports about client data, not a tested gameplay change log.

Research record

The latest additions expand Recipes, Items, and Quests. These are source reviews and reference images, with evidence limits recorded on each article; they do not announce new game changes.

The continuation adds campsite item descriptions and more armor-kit and workspace recipe records. Camping links the supporting articles. Coming of Age, Elemental Unrest and The Cirrusfly Queen now have timestamped video evidence. The GPU compatibility explanation includes Blizzard's separate renderer notice; the older platform-table review date is retained.

Game build and hotfix log

The source import and official issue notes do not amount to an independent in-game test. No resolved-hotfix entry is asserted here. A wiki content expansion is not a game patch. Each future change should record:

• Build and date: the affected game version and the announcement or test date.
• Before → after: the exact field or behavior changed, with both sources when available.
• Affected pages: the class, talent, quest, recipe, item, or location references needing updates.
• Evidence: an official patch note or a reproducible observation, with disagreement preserved if sources conflict.

For a reported correction, edit the affected article first, preserve its historical evidence, then link the completed change here. Do not replace an unknown value with an extrapolation from another edition.
