System requirements
System requirements help you prepare a computer for World of Warcraft: Forever. The following summary comes from both platform tabs of Blizzard Support article 386366.[1]
Windows
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10, 64-bit, May 2019 update or newer | Windows 11 |
| CPU | Four cores, 3.0 GHz; Intel Haswell / AMD Ryzen Zen | Eight performance cores, 5.2 GHz boost; Intel Core Ultra Series 2 / AMD Ryzen Zen 5 |
| GPU | DirectX 12, 4 GB; GeForce GTX 10 series / AMD RDNA 1 / Intel Iris Xe2-LPG Lunar Lake | DirectX 12, 8 GB; GeForce RTX 40 series / AMD RDNA 3 / Intel Arc B-Series |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| Free SSD space | 128 GB | 128 GB |
Mac
Blizzard lists macOS 12, Apple M2 or ninth-generation Intel Coffee Lake, 8 GB RAM, and 128 GB free SSD space as minimums. Its recommended configuration lists macOS 15, Apple M4, and 16 GB RAM. The GPU row mixes Metal, chip, and memory wording; consult the original table for that qualification.[1]
Prepare your installation
Use Game access to check account eligibility. After installation, User interface and accessibility explains announced display and control options. A visual preset is not evidence that an unsupported computer becomes supported, and minimum specifications do not promise a particular frame rate.
