Tauren
Beta reference · reviewed 20 September 2026. Racial descriptions use the community export for Forever beta build 1.60.1.69876. Its source notes identify beta-client extraction; this wiki has not independently tested racial effects or every character-creation combination.
Tauren appears in the Horde roster retained in the Forever beta export. This reference summarizes that race’s recorded general racials and class options.[1]
Recorded class options
Warrior, Hunter, Druid, Shaman.[1]
See Race and class combinations for the distinction between an announced addition, a source-listed combination, and an unlisted combination.
Recorded racial abilities
The following summarizes the beta export; listed numbers are build-specific data, not independent gameplay measurements.[1]
| Ability | Recorded effect |
|---|---|
| War Stomp | A 0.5-second cast stuns up to five enemies within 8 yards for 2 seconds. Listed cooldown: 2 minutes. |
| Cultivation | Duplicates a nearby herb for harvesting without Herbalism skill. The beta description permits each herb to be cultivated only once. The 19 September export also lists a 1-hour cooldown. |
| Plainsrunning | Adds 1% movement speed per 5 seconds spent moving, up to 30%. Taking damage or standing still reduces the effect; the description does not quantify the decay. |
| Endurance | Adds 5% total Health and 1% hit chance. |
Health, gathering, and movement
War Stomp has a cast and local range; it is not an unconditional escape. Cultivation and Plainsrunning need practical beta checks before a gathering route or travel-time estimate can rely on them. This is editorial advice for evaluating the beta data, not a ranking of races.
First character checklist
- Choose a supported class from the linked roster, then read its talent guide.
- Recheck character-creation options and racial tooltips in the current beta build.
- Record the build and conditions when reporting a change. Starting quests, trainer coordinates, and numerical racial comparisons need their own evidence.
