Beta record review (October 10, 2026)
Beta record review (October 10, 2026) records the latest source check and the player-facing articles it informs. This is a research update; it does not announce a new October 10 game patch.
Current client check
Blizzard's public US, EU, KR and TW manifests still identify 1.60.1.70291. Its exact build configuration names WOW-70291patch1.60.1_ForeverBeta.[1]
All 611 retained downloads were checked against their hashes. The current catalogue still advertises 613 tables; two exports remain unavailable. Five newly retrieved exact-build exports—ItemSparse, QuestV2, SpellName, SpellReagents and SkillLineAbility—match the saved October 9 bytes. Dated receipts and selected row differences.
Articles informed by this review
- Edward's Knife and Tabitha's Cuffs connect the exact newly exported item IDs to the original A Frightened Request reward record and individually opened tooltips.
- Satchel of Potions records an explicit quality-ID change; outcome probabilities remain unverified.
- Leveling equipment groups independently reviewed equipment and source relationships. Original tooltip updates retain their capture limits; raw stat allocation is not substituted for displayed equipment bonuses.
- Recipes and Recipe calculator retain recipe-specific builds. SpellReagents is byte-identical across the compared builds; SkillLineAbility has 29 changed records. Neither count establishes 29 new craftable recipes.
Added ItemSparse identifiers
The following 21 identifiers occur in the newer export and not the earlier one. Many displayed names already exist elsewhere in WoW or in this client. Their appearance is not a count of 21 newly obtainable rewards.
| ID | Exact client display name |
|---|---|
| 251485 | Edward's Knife |
| 251486 | Tabitha's Cuffs |
| 287958 | Titan Relic |
| 287959 | Titan Relic |
| 287963 | Roasted Quail |
| 287964 | Morning Glory Dew |
| 287966 | Minor Healing Potion |
| 287967 | Lesser Healing Potion |
| 287968 | Minor Mana Potion |
| 287969 | Lesser Mana Potion |
| 287971 | Woolen Bag |
| 287972 | Rumsey Rum Dark |
| 287973 | Tender Wolf Steak |
| 287974 | Grilled Squid |
| 287975 | Swiftness Potion |
| 287976 | Free Action Potion |
| 287977 | Greater Healing Potion |
| 287978 | Rough Sharpening Stone |
| 287979 | Lesser Wizard Oil |
| 287980 | Elemental Sharpening Stone |
| 287992 | Old Key |
The two Titan Relic IDs are kept separate from item 270866, whose acquisition was independently sourced. The inspected original pages for 287958, 287959 and Old Key287992 were unavailable. Their purposes are not inferred from the names.
Changed spell names
These exact name-field changes cover 12 spell records. The rows include effect records and multiple ranks; they do not count 12 newly learned player abilities.
| Spell ID | Earlier exact name | Later exact name |
|---|---|---|
| 3355 | Freezing Trap Effect | Freezing Trap |
| 8178 | Grounding Totem Effect | Grounding Totem |
| 13797 | Immolation Trap Effect | Immolation Trap |
| 13810 | Frost Trap Aura | Frost Trap |
| 14298 | Immolation Trap Effect | Immolation Trap |
| 14299 | Immolation Trap Effect | Immolation Trap |
| 14300 | Immolation Trap Effect | Immolation Trap |
| 14301 | Immolation Trap Effect | Immolation Trap |
| 14308 | Freezing Trap Effect | Freezing Trap |
| 14309 | Freezing Trap Effect | Freezing Trap |
| 1223242 | Predatory Instincts | Natural Instinct |
| 1293681 | Farsen's Farsight | Farsen's Far Sight |
Natural Instinct already has the separately reviewed talent reference. Renaming an effect row does not independently establish a new gameplay effect or talent redesign.
Quest identifiers and flags
The newer QuestV2 export adds 99435. Its readable original quest page was unavailable, so no title, giver, objectives or rewards are assigned here. Seven existing rows change the technical UniqueBitFlag field:
| Quest ID | Earlier flag | Later flag |
|---|---|---|
| 1520 | 1331 | 1328 |
| 1521 | 1332 | 1329 |
| 92467 | 66431 | 1328 |
| 92468 | 66432 | 1329 |
| 94373 | 67887 | 1330 |
| 94374 | 67888 | 1328 |
| 94375 | 67889 | 1329 |
These flags do not establish a changed quest narrative, eligibility rule or reward. Original quest bodies require their own evidence.
Archive and gameplay boundaries
Beta data comparison (70245 to 70291) retains the complete technical comparison. The 55,191 historical database records retain their original source builds and unchanged package bytes. This review promotes only claims supported by their individual Forever sources; encrypted, withheld and server-only information is not reconstructed.
