Start here to check the evidence behind this wiki. These sources explicitly discuss World of Warcraft Forever. An announcement, interview, community transcription, and datamined asset each support different kinds of claims.

Hall references, scholar references and Tailoring references link individually inspected Forever originals. Directly opened and complete English indexed originals identify their access limits. No unreported tooltip build or in-game test is inferred.

October 14 acquisition-source review

Skyborne starting guide, Excavation Site: Wetlands and Engineering references link separately opened Forever originals. Unknown yields and conflicting source views stay explicit. Exact-build ingredients and tools retain their archived provenance; duplicated older quest summaries now point to the full quest record.

October 13 written-source checks

Skyborne starting guide, City of Dalaran, three cooking chains and Classes connect separately reviewed Forever originals. Source conflicts and unverified yields remain explicit. Written developer descriptions retain their publication dates, and client ingredients keep their exact build.

Further October 12 source checks

Nightclaw Druids, Excavation Site: Wetlands, four recipe chains and Companion collecting cite separately opened Forever originals. Contradictory quantities and names remain marked; guide-reported acquisitions remain separate from build-tagged ingredients and in-game tests.

Continued October 12 research

Hall of Thanes, Shen'dralas centaur quest guide, non-cooking recipe chains and Companion collecting cite separately inspected Forever records. The source directory and individual research ledgers preserve original dates, unknown acquisition and disagreement between representations.

October 12 research record

The Ruins of Lordaeron, Cooking, Greenhouse, four updated class articles and Beta data comparison (70291 to 70338) cite their distinct originals. The maintained source directory and release ledgers record source conflicts, image provenance, build checks and reuse limits.

October 10 written and client review

• City of Dalaran and its linked encounters cite the updated written Forever guide and individually opened quest, NPC and item records. Original quest counts and conflicting recipients take precedence over unsupported guide assumptions.
• Skyborne starting guide cites individually inspected quest records; its travel summary is centralized to avoid duplicating the written source.
• Thirteen recipe chains separate learning items, ingredient rows, spell outputs and crafted-object tooltips. Professions links all twelve overviews.
• Leveling equipment links source-specific reward and drop evidence; older displayed tooltips remain dated history.
• Beta record review (October 10, 2026) rechecks Blizzard's original identity and exact-build Wago exports, while retaining older database records unchanged.

No new video source was used. Unreported capture builds, missing coordinates and unsupported availability remain explicitly unknown.

October 9 written-source review

• Blizzard's original visual article supports Character models and the attributed official previews.
• Beta maintenance (October 8, 2026) and Beta known issues cite staff-authenticated original posts and preserve tentative wording.
• The pinned licensed talent review distinguishes 70291 talents/spells from retained 70170 sections.
• The client audit uses Blizzard identity plus exact-build Wago exports.
• An Alarming Request and Twice-Spiced Raptor Slice (recipe) cite individually opened Forever records, as do their linked reward and food articles.

October 8 source review

• Beta update (October 1, 2026) and Beta maintenance (October 6, 2026) — dated Blizzard staff statements and later technical notices.
• PvP progression and Darkspear Islands — original written Blizzard overviews.
• Excavation Site: Wetlands — written dungeon research and individually checked Forever quest records.
• Project:Talent data and Datamined data — separately pinned licensed records and client exports, with differing build dates preserved.

No new video research was used. Each article distinguishes published design, client records, community source annotations and unverified gameplay.

October 1 written-source additions

• Beta maintenance (October 1, 2026) — original US and EU Blizzard notices.
• Hall of Thanes loot — twelve individual Forever item tooltips, with written guide associations.
• Campfire kits and recipes — separate item, spell and Blueprint records; discrepancies remain explicit.
• Talent learning-level annotations — a changed licensed export, compared against unchanged talent effects and two exact-build client exports.

No videos were used for this review. Review dates do not imply that each feature was added on that date.

September 30 source additions

• Beta data comparison (70009 to 70124) — separately verified client archives, with the licensed talent snapshot retaining its own build.

• Datamined item sets — exact-build ItemSet and bonus relationships, with the September 29 build/export check.
• Rotmender's Raiment and its five item articles — individual Forever database tooltips, checked separately from the written datamining report.
• Black Market Auction House, Madam Swyndle, Mister Graphed and Gift of Galloping — original written Forever reports and individual records.
• Bear Form consumables and grouped quest drops — bounded written reports, with attribution and unverified conditions retained.
• Beta changes and Beta known issues — original Blizzard staff replies on queue filling and the requested Kyle quest restoration. A work-in-progress reply does not establish delivery.

Beta source review

• Blizzard beta launch, 17 September — Beta guide and the cited location articles.
• Kaivax's known-issues list, updated 18 September — Beta known issues and dated class notes. A future fix target is not a resolved issue.
• Official developer Q&A, 17 September — the Forever segment was read through its exported captions. Timestamped references appear in Realmless rulesets, Character names, User interface and accessibility, Transmogrification, Raids, and Darkspear Islands. Captions can contain transcription errors.
• Talents Forever build history and licensed export — Project:Talent data records the pinned beta snapshot and historical records.

September 20 additions

• Datamined data — a complete beta-labelled catalogue from the licensed Talents Forever snapshot, with raw client-table acquisition tracked separately by build. It preserves higher ranks and evidence limits.
• Campsite item and recipe references — additional individual ForeverDiff records, with separate item-effect and crafting evidence. Recipes includes the expanded armor-kit references.
• Blizzard's GPU compatibility notice — System requirements explains how the architecture floor differs from the full minimum specifications.

• Recipes and new item records cite individual ForeverDiff records. Their articles preserve the extractor's scope and identify unverified acquisition details.

• Spellbooks uses beta-tagged records from the 19 September licensed export, with explicit learning-level and tooltip-context limits. Project:Talent data records source corrections.

Used in Camping, Transmogrification, Realmless rulesets, Character names, User interface and accessibility, and Discovery and itemization. Tentative plans retain tentative wording.
• Windows Central — Why another elf race?, 13 September 2026. Jez Corden interviews Tim Jones and Kris Zierhut. Used for Skyborne and Shen'dralas context.
• Warcraft Tavern — Ion & Holly interview, 14 September 2026. Mila Grish’s edited press-room transcript includes other WoW editions. Only the passages explicitly about Forever support Changes from Classic and Realmless rulesets.

Community data and datamined previews

• Talents Forever — the wiki’s 466 class talents and 21 Legacy perks use a pinned, attributed community snapshot. Read Project:Talent data for record-level estimates, unknowns, and provenance.
• Wowhead — World maps, 16 September 2026. World maps contains three inspected originals; each file page records its source and identification limits.
• Wowhead — Reputation names, 16 September 2026. Factions separates provisional names from announced local groups. Names alone do not establish a reputation grind or rewards.
• Datamined previews links the original gear-model, creature-model, and set-effect reports. A model does not establish obtainable loot. The set-effect report expressly warns of Season of Discovery remnants; unconfirmed values have not been added to equipment fields.

Icy Veins guide review

All sixteen published guides linked from the Forever section were reviewed on 17 September 2026. These are secondary explanations: their observations and predictions are checked separately. Article citations identify which claims are supported by announcements, licensed community records, or attributed preview reporting.

Using a source on an article

Identify the exact Forever passage or record before adding a fact. Cite its original URL and date, record the client build when known, and leave unknown fields empty. Shared names do not make a Classic, retail, Season of Discovery, or other-edition mechanic valid for Forever. Preserve conflicts instead of choosing whichever value seems familiar.
